So, it is the end of formal education for 11 days. And I am quite excited!
My physics exam did not go as well as I had intended. The material was nothing new and I had the information and concepts all in my head...and understood! I don't know if I just spaced out or I was seriously pissed off at things unrelated to Physics, so I am thinking that this will be my drop test. Totally sucks, but I know I am almost 15% above the average thus far. Not quite the top, but above the average. I plan on kicking ass for the remainder of the course. My view on physics has drastically changed and although sometimes it takes me a little bit longer to understand, it is actually quite interesting.
I'll be the first to admit: I am two chapters behind in reading for Chemistry and fortunately, although a vast amount of information is within these two chapters, I understand it well. Still doesn't help that I have an exam the week I return from Spring Break, as well as three labs, two rather large homework assignments, etc etc etc. So, this Spring Break will be more of a "I have nothing to turn in, but I have a lot of **** to do" break. I am actually looking for to it. Hopefully I will stick to my plan of action and get ahead of the game for the last five and a half weeks of Spring semester. Then again, since I am working four full days next week, I'm sure my plan of action is unrealistic. I'm still going to try though!
Can you believe I am more than half way done with my first semester back? I am really enjoying this. I have made some good friends whom I'll be sticking around with until we go off to med school and hopefully I am setting an example for those who are slowly getting into the nasty habit of just not studying. I was in lab today, as always on a Thursday morning, and I suddenly realized how much these kids come up to me to understand the concepts and the objectives of the lab when the prof isn't around (which is often, might I add...). Kind of nice, then I can reconfirm that I know the information. Two of kids asked me for my phone number...as if I am going to help them during Spring Break! Of course I would. But the real question is are they going to be calling me during Spring Break? Doubtful. I'm sure I'll miss those little kids during the break, although they can be immature at times, they are actually quite fun to be around.
Probably will not have a chance to post until late Monday. I'll be wine barrel tasting in Sonoma for the weekend. Yahoo!
