The Countdown Has Begun.

I believe people think I am nuts.  Maybe I am.

Why on Earth would I want to pull myself out of a fantastic job with a potential for a take-over in a very stable industry, only to go back to school, surround myself with the U-21 crowd to drown myself in homework and textbooks for the next 1.5 years, to then spend four very long years grinding the stone, to be thrown into the residency life bossed around by kids ~10 years  younger only to finally make some type of living ~ age 35....at the earliest.   All because, I want to help people and learn...people seem intrigued but also perplexed when they find out what I've done.

And this is just the beginning.

The countdown until Spring Semester close-out has begun.  One week of classes, followed by a quasi-finals week.  Finals is a bit different than Udub.  Most classes give finals on the last day of instruction, which I would be horrified if I was in that situation.  Fortunately, I have an awesome physics prof, who has altered his teaching styles to what he deems his "preferred style" if he was still a student.  Class is still kick-my-ass hard, so a little help is grateful.  To releviate some of my stress from May 5th to the 8th, I took off Tuesday.  If you know me well, I NEVER take time off work.  I doubt I'll need the time, but knowing I have some extra time on Tuesday to study and finish any last minute work will be nice.

I'm already looking forward to my Summer Weekend.  It would be more enjoyable if it wasn't a holiday weekend so I could go somewhere, ie camping.  On the other hand, I will not have to study for three whole days!  Bio I and Chem II summer session is going to be a biatch.  No diving, no week long camping trips, no midweek concerts, no late night drunken chaos, just living breathing Bio and Chem.   Somehow I am still enjoying the ride.

Ha, and  I still wonder why people think I'm nuts...
