Today was my long day of the week at school. It started off quite nice, I woke up refreshed. Never felt better. I mosey my way to get ready, play with the kids for a bit, and then off to school. I arrived at the Physics Tutor Center ready to act before lecture. I pounded out a problem and helped two others on the homework due at 6.00pm. Mind you, over the last three assignments, I have been rushing to finish, but this homework I finished Monday afternoon. What a relief. I get to lecture and the prof (who reminds me of my B, before he became B^2) hands out a revised syllabi. The exam had already been pushed out two days, but now, it's a week and two days! And the homework is due two days later as well (Wednesday). I can't believe it. I already have an up on the next chapter too? Physics was once my enemy, now its my friend and I am actually enjoying it. I think the boost from my cuz really helped. Only problem is now, I don't really care to study chemistry. It has nothing to do with the material...its all the professor. He doesn't know how to grade...CONSISTENTLY. We had a quiz in which he marked me down more points for what he called sigfig issues, yet, another guy had the same process, same sigfigs, same BOXED in answer, and got full credit. And this isn't the first time. I think he hates me, but then again, he may associate me with my aforementioned cuz, who had this old chem prof for TWO semesters and laughed at everything he said. Yeah...thanks cuz. Whatever, as soon as I finish this post, I am going to study chem and kick ass. So, although I thought I had a packed weekend to be followed by a quasi-relaxing weekend, I was wrong. But, it'll still be nice when I kick both of these classes out of the water.
I met with an old friend for coffee before dinner, miss her like crazy! It was nice to just sit down (although we settled for the *buck) and chat about life. If I actually had money to rent a place, I may consider renting an apt with her. Although I am very doubtful anything would come up, as I am trying to figure out how I can survive without a job come Fall/Spring. The joys of money. I used to love it, now I hate it.
Mom made me a fantastic dinner. I'm overly thrilled right now. I was thinking..."it's time to go see someone in concert..." so, I quickly searched Jack Johnson, Damien Rice and Death Cab for Cutie. All three would be a great event for my two older cousins, their husbands and me to attend. We all love said musicians. If you haven't seen Jack or Damien in concert, you are missing out. Damien is by far my favorite concert EVER attended. WELL, Death Cab for Cutie is going to be at UCD in April! A school night, but I think I can handle a cheap ticket, amazing company, fantastic music and a short drive from Davis to school the next day. Checked the schedule, no exams or quizzes (who would've thought with my luck?). SO, called up the cuz. Sounds like we're in business. And the odd thing is they go on sale to UCD students tomorrow morning, public on Friday. I'm in!
