My cousin, Mechanical Engineering major at the local state university, has taken a lot of physics in his hey-day. So, I brought it upon myself to ask him to "tutor" me two or so hours a week. Today was our first "tutoring" session. We accomplished so much on concepts and sequential steps to solve problems. It was quite nice to have someone who was willing to sit there and help me walk through the problems. We finished the chapter's homework and chatted for an hour or so. Today I have worked all day on physics, and I am proud to say that I am making headway. (Chem was all day yesterday...) That in itself, is very nice. I am sure in 9.5 hours when I am sitting in lecture, my headway will look like a giant roadblock.
To sum up my weekend, I've accomplished the following:
* Found a great LOCAL coffee shop which not too many people know about and their special blend drip was amazing.
* Found a great tutor, thanks Geet!
* Tackled some great physics and chemistry homework
* Haircut (if you haven't seen me in awhile....this was a good thing, even if I am growing it out...)
* Tasha finally made the right decision about the Army and Alice (my one hour of TV this weekend...)
I've got a very busy week with four homework assignments due (two down, two IP), two quizes, three labs, and two HUGO sized exams the following week. SO if I ain't bloggin', you know where my head will be...
